A Film Series Regarding the Spoiling of Our Food Supply and What Can be Done

You are invited to a community discussion / movie night series
focusing on the topic of food justice, health and nutrition.


Dates: Saturdays, May 15, May 22, June 5, June 19, June 26. 2010

LOCATION: Bethany UCC Church, 6230 Beacon Avenue S, Seattle 98108
(ecumenical events; atheists and agnostics also welcome)



Events are free. Donations will be accepted to go to pertinent
organizations, including Pastors For Peace to send humanitarian aid via
the FriendShipment to Cuba.

The Films (not in chronological order):
1. The Future Of Food - organic and sustainable agriculture vs. genetic
engineering solutions.
2. Food, Inc - The industrialization of our food supply.
3. Fast Food Nation - examines fast food
4. North American Scientist David Suzuki evaluating Cuba's
organic urban agriculture projects - with Tom Warner offering comments. 5.
Slide show of a trip to Chiapas in order to view fair trade from the
farmer's point of view. Trip sponsored by Bethany UCC.

future topic: Book Study - World Hunger: 12 Myths - (one is that US aid
reduces world hunger)
